In India, near the Bangladesh border, twenty armed men attacked a church, wounding six of the worshipers.

In what appears to be a robbery, two men disguised as women attacked an occupied church in Pakistan, killing three.

Artillery fire across the Line of Control left an Pakistani civilian dead. 

Rebel violence in Kashmir left 13 dead.

Gulbadin Hekmatyar, an Afghan Islamic fundamentalist warlord who was driven out of Afghanistan in the mid 1990s, has announced in Pakistan that he is joining with al Qaeda and the Taliban to fight the Americans. Hekmatyar has spent most of the last seven years in exile in Iran, which expelled him earlier this year. Hekmatyar  does not appear to have many followers anymore, but he does have name recognition.
