In Kashmir, rebel action left one rebel dead. The voting continues in Kashmir, with an average of 41 eligible voters actually casting ballots. 

Pakistan has seen economic benefits from supporting the war on terrorism. In addition to a billion dollars in aid and forgiven debts from the US, the economy has grown 3.6 percent and the local stock market is up nearly 80 percent. A lot of this has to do with more trade with Afghanistan and increased aid for Afghan and supplies for US and other foreign military forces bought from Pakistani firms.
