Police in the southern India city of Banglore raided the hide out of Moslem rebels and in the ensuing gun battle killed five of the rebels (who were plotting to kill a senior Indian politicians.) One of the rebels had a $10,000 reward on his head. 

Rebel violence in Kashmir left nine dead. In the past eight weeks, rebel violence has left 598 dead.
