In Pakistan, four men were arrested earlier for participating in the attack on a Christian church last October 28th, died in a shoot out. The men belonged to the anti-Shiite group Lashkar-i-Jhangvi. Three of the four confessed. The men were being moved by police to a new location when they were ambushed by gunmen who, presumably, were trying to free the prisoners. But the prisoners were killed and two policemen, and several of the attackers, were wounded.

In Kashmir, rebel action left four rebels and four Moslem civilians dead.  An army patrol found a rebel arms cache containing 240 hand grenades, 296 rifle grenades, 4100 bullets, 33 pounds of explosives and several rifles..
