Pakistani police arrested a dozen suspected militants in the capital, seizing weapons and munitions. The men belonged to Sunni terrorist groups. The government believes that these groups, and some Kashmiri rebel groups, are working with al Qaeda to commit recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan. 

In Kashmir, rebel violence left seven rebels, one soldier and two civilians dead.
