For the first time, a major artillery due broke out between Indian and Pakistani troops in Rajastan. The desert area is west of Kashmir. A Pakistani and Indian soldier were killed. Artillery fire in Kashmir has declined quite a bit. The Pakistani government is offering a $104,500 rewards for information leading to the arrest of the murderers of US reporters Daniel Pearl. 

Non-Violence Kashmiri separatist groups have asked the Indian government to allow them to travel to Pakistan to try and negotiate a ceasefire with the militants.
