Several incidents in Kashmir left three rebels and eight civilians dead. Also, ten young Moslems were arrested as they tried to cross the Line of Control into Pakistani territory. The men admitted they were going to receive military training so they could join the rebels. Inside Indian Kashmir, a small rebel unit (about ten men) surrendered to Indian soldiers.
