In Kashmir, rebel violence left four rebels and three civilians dead. In Pakistan, a policeman was killed in a shootout with Islamic radicals. In Bangladesh, four men belonging to a banned far left political party were killed by more moderate rivals. The far left groups have resorted to banditry while trying to gain more popular support for their extreme political views.
