Turkmenistan has asked Russia to arrest Turkmen opposition leaders that may be in Russia. The Turkmen Niyazov leader believes the three men plotted to assassinate him. Unfortunately, Niyazov has so thoroughly trashed the economy and education system that there are millions of Turkmen (from all classes) who want him dead. In fact, the gossip in Turkmenistan indicate that the people most likely to have organized the assassination attempt are those closest to Niyazov (who tends to replace senior government officials for little or no good reason.)
