: On February 19 Turkey arrested three men for allegedly planning a suicide attack in Israel. The Turkish police reported the men had been trained by the Taliban in Afghanistan. They were identified as two Palestinian nationals and a Jordanian. A subsequent report (February 20) said that one of the men said the Beyyiat El Imam terrorist group had ordered him to carry out a suicide attack in Tel Aviv or Ramat Gan. His target: a crowded area. The men were caught in eastern Turkey (Van province).
