 A Saudi prince, and nine others, were killed when their hunting expedition was ambushed by rebels. Three Saudis and four Algerians were taken captive, but police tracked the rebel group and freed the captives 40 kilometers from the scene of  ambush (250 kilometers south of the capital.) The Saudis had been on a hunting expedition and were escorted by troops and police.
