The Global Hawk large recon drone program has finally received the go-ahead from the Pentagon, which has authorized the Air Force to begin the $1.6 billion Engineering and Manufacturing Development. Program officials are concerned that their huge war chest of money will be the target of every other aviation program that runs short of money.--Stephen V Cole
