The Pentagon has asked Congress to approve the sale of 16 AH-64D Apache helicopters to Kuwait. Eight of them would be fitted with Longbow radars. The $2.1 billion deal includes 96 of the new Longbow Hellfire AGM-113L3 missiles, and 288 of the older laser-guided Hellfire AGM-113K3 missiles, plus spare parts, 30mm cannon ammunition, 2.75 inch rockets, and four spare engines.--Stephen V Cole
