After Action Reports

The  results of our tests. The AARs (After Action Reports)  include the obvious T/O and situation material. But screen shots and descriptions of the action (and player comments) are also sometimes included.

This short little study compares the lethality (based on TACOPS values) of the Medium battalion, the mech heavy (two mech-1 tank) TF, the blended (2 Mech-2 Tank), Heavy (3 mech-tank) TF, USMC LAR Battalion, and an M113/M8AGS variant of the Medium Battalion.

Battlefront, the publisher of Tacops, has on their website after action reports from players.

First report, from Michael K Robel (who holds the copyright on this excellent piece of work.)

This is the Umpire  AAR from a February 19, 2000, CPX,  These are the Overlays from the two runs of the scenario The Passwords are: Blue:  LeadTheWay, Red: bleedall  There are also very interesting and insightful AARs and comments from the players of this CPX.

The overlays are zipped, and then the zipfiles are packaged into one zipfile.  Zips are named for the time, and then an M for Mech, and a T for Trackless.

This AAR covers the use of engineers with the medium brigades. Very interesting results.

This AAR compares the LAV based organization to one which is equipped with M113 and AGS.

This AAR provides information on the LAV-Logistics carrier as the primary combat vehicle compared to a LAV-25 battalion against a BTR-80/T-80 regiment.
