About a dozen foreigners, coordinating foreign aid, have fled the temporary capital, Jowhar. The foreigners were threatened by the growing number of armed militiamen arriving in town. The latest group of  armed men, believed to have been trained in Ethiopia, arrived to back  transitional president Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed. The speaker of the transitional parliament, Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden, who is backed by some powerful warlords, wants the government based in Mogadishu (the traditional capital).
