For the first time since 1991, the rocket forces test fired an RS-20B (SS-18) ICBM. The test was a success. These Cold War era missiles are being phased out, because they are expensive to maintain, and being replaced by more efficient models. Some RS-20Bs may be converted to satellite launchers.
