Police sent to the northern Moslem city of Kaduna to deal with strike related unrest now have a real riot on their hands. The rumor that police had murdered and buried 17 people they had arrested has caused crowds to assemble and march on police stations. Once these things get started, days of violence and destruction usually follow.
