After five days of fighting, police have put down a rebellion by Islamic radicals in the north. Two police and at least six of the 200 Islamic radicals were killed. Several of the Islamic radicals were arrested and it appears that they belong to an Islamic radical group composed largely of college students. The group, calling themselves the Muhajirun, based their activities on the Taliban of Afghanistan. Most Nigerian Moslems are not keen on radical Islam. Save StrategyPage

Over the years, we have tried to keep in-your-face ads off our site. If our readers have complained about an ad, we have looked into it and 90% of the time removed the ad. Unfortunately, revenues from standard ads are just not enough to keep us alive.

What can you do to help resuscitate StrategyPage? There are three possibilities:

  1. Make sure you spread the word about us. Two ways to do that are to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
  2. Subscribe to our daily newsletter. We’ll send the news to your email box, and you don’t have to come to the site unless you want to read columns or see photos.
  3. You can contribute to the health of StrategyPage. A contribution is not a donation that you can deduct at tax time, but a form of crowdfunding. We store none of your information when you contribute..

We appreciate any help you can give us.
