 While most of Ivory Coasts new weapons (especially the warplanes) have come from Eastern Europe, at least one UAV was purchased from an Israeli firm. The UAV has been flying over northern Ivory Coast, collecting information on rebel military capabilities. Apparently, Israeli personnel were hired to operate the UAV and run the reconnaissance operation.
