Multiple attacks in Karbala left 13 dead and nearly 40 wounded. The attacks included two car bombs, plus mortar and assault gun attacks. Six coalition soldiers were among the dead (Bulgarians and Thais.) Karbala is a Shia holy city and has been quiet since coalition troops drove out Baath aprty forces.
