The US 3rd Mechanized Infantry division has been ordered to Kuwait. The division regularly sends it's brigades to Kuwait for training, where it has stored the equipment for a brigade. The US says it is doubling the number of troops it has in the Persian Gulf in the next month, from 60,000 to 120,000. Armed Predator UAVs are being used over Iraq, and a video of a Predator hitting Iraqi radar equipment with a Hellfire missile was released.
U.S. and British warplanes bombed Iraqi aid defense sites in southern Iraq after the Iraqis fired on the coalition aircraft.
