Iran apparently fired a large missile at an Iranian rebel base in Habib, Iraq (45 kilometers from Basra, and 35 kilometers from the Iranian border.) The missile left a crater 20 feet deep and 40 meters wide. There seven dead (including an Iraqi soldier) and 78 injured (24 of them Iraqi troops) .Iraq has provided sanctuary for Iranian rebels since the end of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
