Ethnic violence continues in Assam, with a time bomb going off  in the Tinsukia district, the scene of much violence against Hindu migrants. This bombing killed two and wounded eight.

In the Indian capital, police shot dead two Islamic radicals, and obtained evidence that put them on the trail of other terrorists belonging to the same group.
