The nephew of a Taliban leader gave a news interview where he revealed that the Taliban and al Qaeda were operating bases and training camps along the Afghan border. Suicide bombers are being recruited, with families of the bombers promised $50,000 after a successful mission. Three men from these camps have been caught and arrested in Afghanistan before they could carry out their missions. Members of the Pakistani military and ISI intelligence agency provide protection and support for the camps.

In Kashmir rebel action left an Indian soldier dead.
