A major element in the recent success against the drug gangs and their rebel allies, are the accountants and lawyers who identify major assets held by these criminals. Recently, the investigations identified an airline that was actually owned by a drug cartel. So eight aircraft, used to smuggle drugs, and worth $98 million, were seized. The rebels and drug gangs have noticed the detective work of the government lawyers and accountants, and have been threatening them with death or kidnapping.
