The twelve year old son of a policeman held captive by FARC has died of cancer. The boys mother pleaded with the FARC to release her former husband so that he could visit his dying son. The boy pleaded on TV for such a visit. The FARC refused and the public has become more enraged against the kidnappings (for ransom) of the FARC and other left wing groups.
