The noting the success of such devices in Iraq, Taliban are now using improvised roadside bombs. Because roads in Afghanistan are less trafficked than those of Iraq, the roadside bomb routine doesn't work as well. There are far fewer US troops in Afghanistan and they often use helicopters to get around. But a few US troops have been injured by the bombs so far.
