Fighting between warlords in the north (in Mazar-i-Sharif) has left six dead. Two factions, both members of the Northern Alliance that toppled the Taliban, are disputing who will control which lucrative pieces of real estate in the north. The animosities go back several decades and also involve ethnic differences (Uzbek and Tajik.)
