| The united nations seem to always send the poorer countrys and armys to solve problems throughout the world. There is a number of places in africa where the UN are acting as peace keepers, however they only seem to be armys from third world countrys eg. India.
In many areas the UN is struggleing to achieve peace and yet they wonder why? Well i say this... Why not send the rich instead of the poor. Look at america, there defense budget is bigger than most countrys entire budget all together. Infact he UN head quarters is based in ameica itself! Yet they do very little throughout the world to achieve peace, compared to what they could be doing. And i don't mean to pick on america alone, it's many countrys. I just read an artical at this very website that the tiny country of denmark is sending a unique brigade of 4500 troops into kosovo. And lets not Forget about what the Australian military has done in East timor over the last year. all i'm saying is that if countrys with small militarys, and countrys with a poor economy can help with world peace as much as they do, Imagine what the wealthy and large pwers of the world could do! the UN should get off there ass and do more thinking. Instead of worrying so much about staying out of trouble, they should worry more about getting other countrys out of trouble! |
