Subject: Is Religion Right?
Pelopanisian    3/7/2006 12:02:28 PM
I believe that we should rid the world of religion any way. Just think, no religion means that people think for themselves. FINALLY, a change in the world. Look back in history and you'll notice that religion as caused more death and destruction then the black death. Islam vs. Jews, Islam vs. Christianity, the Crusades, all battles and conflicts that deal with religion as the main reason for th fighting. Just think about it.

>>RE:Is Religion Right? 3/9/2006 10:44:58 PM Religion is for people who has weak minds. Or those who has nothing better to do.<< So I guess that Martin Luther King Jr. had a weak mind. So did Lincoln So did ghandi So did Ike So did FDR So did Every king and queen that England has ever seen So did every Emporer and Leader of Ancient Rome and Greece So did Most of the Presidents that the US, and Lots of other counrties, ever have. So did Rosa Parks So did a certian female slave nicknamed Moses in the US So did ...ect >>>RE:Is Religion Right? 3/10/2006 10:10:22 AM One religion that has not seen as much bloodshed is hinduism....i think its because hinduism does not advocate expansion......i think there is no formal conversion to hinduism....it's followers are loosely tied by a set of basic principles.......sikhism was a militant form of hinduism born to tackle the invading muslim ideology.<<< link Matthews chapter 5 38: "You have heard that it was said, `An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 39: But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; 40: and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; 41: and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42: Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you. 43: "You have heard that it was said, `You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44: But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45: so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46: For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47: And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48: You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect Its not the Religion it's its fallowers. The goodbook also says to be respectfull of others, many of you refuse to do so. that is just an example on how the word of God is ignored by the people who claim to obey fallow Christ. [many muslims do not opened a page of koran] Why not open the pages of the bible then? it seems that you don't like what this Mohhamed dude teaches. Go to a temple of God and learn his word. "To the escape pod!! I REGRET NOTHING!"

"I believe that we should rid the world of religion any way. Just think, no religion means that people think for themselves. " I suppose the irony of this is lost on the author. How about wording it this way: If we can somehow prevent or shape the way the masses think then people will think for themselves. That better?

Don't worry we'll find something to wage war about. If things become really that bad the we can always go back to waging war over livestock and women. Or we can follow the South American examples and wage a war over Football (talk about fanatical sports fans). link

You want evidence? Here it is. the Roman Empire was the greatest empire to ever exist on Earth. The Roman's believed in the religion that they stole from the greeks, and then they fell apart. Why? Because of christianity my friend. Christianity riuned an weakened the Roman's martial spirit. it made them weak and vunarable. That is why Rome fell. Because of religion that weakened them so. Previous Comment ------------------------- aren't you then saying that religion both makes people to eager to kill and not eager enough?

My fellow pelopanisian friend I agree with you. If the world didnt have religion there would be less fighting overall. And those of you who think if there isnt any religion there would be total caos, i think your wrong because getting rid of religion isnt getting rid of government so there would still be some order... but if --------------------------- Your faith in the benevolence of Big Brother is touching-almost religious However their wasn't a major religious war that wasn't also about power. So we have to abolish government as well.

Think for themselves? Everyone thinks accprding to their own worldview, even you. The only ones who, "think for themselves" are those that barely think at all.
In any case you are starting to make the abolishing of religion into a religion of it's own-or havn't you noticed.
