Subject: Scientific Indications in the Holy Qur'an, Part-II
Achernar    5/15/2004 7:19:30 AM
PHYSICS Scientific terms: RELATIVITY OF TIME "They ask you to hasten the punishment. God will not break His promise. A day with your Lord is equivalent to a thousand years in the way you count."[Sura-22: Aya-47] "He directs the whole affair from heaven to earth. Then it will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure." [Sura-32: Aya-5] NOTE: These verses are clearly indicating the relativity of time. Before Einstein??s theory of relativity people did not know that time was a relative concept, and that it could change according to the environment. Scientific terms: GRAVITATION AND MOTION OF THE HEAVENLY BODIES "(Allah) created the heavens without any pillars that you can see..." [Sura-31: Aya-10] "Allah is the One Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see, then He firmly established Himself on the throne and He subjected the sun and moon . . ." [Sura-13: Aya-2] ??He has created the heavens and the earth with truth. He makes the night to go in the day and makes the day to go in the night. And He has subjected the sun and the moon. Each running (on a fixed course) for an appointed term. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving? [Sura-39: Aya-5] "God is the One Who made the sun a shining glory and the moon a light and for her ordained mansions, so that you might know the number of years and the reckoning (of the time). God created this in truth. He explains the signs in detail for people who know." [Sura-10: Aya-5] NOTE: First two verses describe about gravitation and next two motions of the heavenly bodies.

..>>> But "all celestial objects moving in the sky" can not include the Earth in this verse, unless you're saying Muhammad was viewing the Earth moving in the sky from the vantage point of another planet.<<< Allah revealed the Qur'an. He knows and viewing everything.... When AK explains the illogic of your comment thru plain common sense, you fall back on the "Allah is all-knowing and all-seeing" line of reasoning, and therefore can not be wrong. That is fallacious logic, religious dogma, and blind unreasoning faith, which violates all rules of logic, and is, as we say in the states - a "cop-out" answer, when one can not refute on the merits. You fall back on the "allah said it so it must be true", in the face of cold hard provable logic. swhtiebull - thats why I say you really cant explain away AKs assertion that Mohammed didnt know what he was talking about in regards to the Earth being a celestial body - HIS experience would not have even entertained such a thought, since by definition, a celestial body is in the sky, and Mohammed is eathbound, which would have been HIS frame of reference, which, of course, the passage cited from the Quran clearly supports.

>>> But "all celestial objects moving in the sky" can not include the Earth in this verse, unless you're saying Muhammad was viewing the Earth moving in the sky from the vantage point of another planet.<<< "Allah revealed the Qur'an. He knows and viewing everything." That's nice, dear. But it has absolutely to do with the claims you have made. Let me review: ----- ??He has created the heavens and the earth with truth. He explains the signs in detail for people who know." [Sura-10: Aya-5] ----- 1.) Neither of these verses refer to the Earth having a "fixed course in the sky," with good reason. No one Muhammad would recite Allah's teaching to could look into the sky and see the Earth. 2.) Sura 39 [the entire text] gives listings of things allegedly created by Allah, and each of these things (sunrise, sunset, human children born of human parents, etc.) listed are things that man can observe, from Earth. But even then, in context, these can not be said to be scientific observations revealed by Allah - the Sura isn't revealing anything that man can't see without Allah, and the main thrust of the Sura seems to be more on the subject of Allah promising punishment for disbelievers than Allah transmitting scientific data. 3.) Sura 10 is much the same - more obvious statements of naked eye observations man can make from Earth without Allah, followed by how wonderful Allah is that disbelievers will be tormented for eternity. But no scientific data whatsoever. I could go further in destroying the notion that there are "scientific indications in the Quran" - I could take Sura 39's descriptions of how a child is formed in the womb, couple them with other verses from the Quran on how bones form first in the womb and then flesh is built around them to make a baby, but that would only reveal that Allah knows nothing about biology and embryology either. Do I really have to consume so much time stating the obvious? So we're back to square one. You claim Allah revealed scientific facts in the Quran. Science disagrees.

Why should I listen to you as you have no respect to your religion? You are using small letters while writing about Holy Book Bible and the prophet Hz. Jesus. As much as I can see, I respect them more than you do. Of course it is a possibillty that you are just a troll trying to ignite another unproductive debate.
