So the Ford Class which costs twice as much as a Nimitz class and carries only 65% of the aircraft which costs ten times as much as the aircraft on the Nimitz is having more problems. Go figure. The Pentagon is alike a little child, completely mesmerized by shiny expensive objects. There should be a fifteen year ban on double dipping by Pentagon officers going to work for those military contract corporations over which they had supervision. Then just maybe these kind of price overruns will stop. The Ford has been a disaster with costs overruns almost from the start. We never hear of anyone in a customer supervisory role being held accountable. No, they just get hired by the company doing the work. I know I had a brother in law at the Pentagon who on a major's pay when he retired, went to work of Hughes and retired from them as a millionaire. Not sure who made the under the table payments, Hughes or the Saudi and UAE princes with whom he did business.
