I just made the comment in jest to throw some levity into what descended into a sour train of correspondence.

 

Some means, to restore rational discussion, I tried, to keep this from becoming a discussion off point. There is no reason to hate on Nan. There is plenty of reason to discuss the real problem that Moslems in the US military now constitute. How do we vet their loyalty and avoid the all too real danger of religious persecution because they actually cannot be now trusted?

The answer is the military has to throw out PC behavior. It is reported that many were alarmed by the terrorists speech and behavior, but were afraid to jeopardize their career by reporting him. Now an INVESTIGATION will probably protect those who wear a star and sacrifice Captain's and Major's careers.

 

Casey's performance over the weekend was repulsive. Until that level of authority, and higher, (read CIC) order all muslims in the military be investigated instead of forbidding any muslims in the military be investigated, the problem will persist and fester.

 

Sadly, I fear the administration will not treat this as an act of terror, but the act of a deranged individual. Could we use a more precise term: ideological proselytizing, which is what totalitarian ideologies seek to do?

 

It is not just restricted to radical Islam or radical Christianity. You have racial supremacists, communists, fascists, and all sort of  immoderate ideologies that all share the same HATE characteristics. 

 

Mainstream modern Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, are religions that call for peace.
