The police officer is reported to have lost his/her life.

Is this a terrorist conspiracy, or a random act of terrorism?

I expect it makes no difference. Officially, there will be condolences for the families of innocent victims, praise for the excellent response of police and rescuers, and admonitions not to condemn the culture and religion responsible for this.

How horrific for a member of our volunteer military to serve multiple tours in Iraq or Afghanistan to come home and be murdered by a muslim on a military base our military members are not allowed to carry a self protection weapon on?

Find the mosque.

I happen to be a nominal Christian of decidely non-Arabic non-Turkic non-Muslim lineage.

If you're of Mediterranean origin (especially southern Italian), it wouldn't be surprising if you have some Arab blood.

Armenian with celtic, germanic and persian contributorsl noted. Family history is majority but impressively not entirely oral, IT was in its infancy circa 800 years ago when my family's Odd-essey, extra 'd' and hyphen intentional, started creating persistent log files. No doubt fictions krept in. Just take note because morpho often deceives in surprising ways from what I can tell.

Not all Arabs subscribe to terrorism, but those that don't are persecuted by their religion.

There is a Saudi propaganda campaign underway in "religious schools" they fund world wide. We saw the first fruits of their campaign in Pakistan two decades ago, and today I suspect we see the first seeds of their efforts in the United States.

Wahhabi Islam is an ideology. To the extent that its practitioners and believers try to promote violence, racism, and intolerance, they need to be put down just like any Nazi should be. When you have an organized effort as I just gave you information to show exists, its not Krystalnacht to arrest the foreign agents of an enemy power that seeks to commit acts of espionage and promote domestic sedition inside the United States.

So.... arrest the clerics and deal with them.

I don't agree with arresting the clerics--yet; this is still a country where you're innocent until proven guilty. However, if I was the FBI, I would definitely be looking at whatever mosque this guy attended. He may not be alone. There might just be a Muslim Brotherhood or AQ wannabe lurking in the shadows there.

Not sure I would've said that a few months ago, but after what happened in Colorado...
