As a long time Red Sox fan, I'm torn...............
 
Do I root for the Phillies? Or do I hope for a massive nor'easter that shuts down the World Series entirely?
 
I'll take the second option. I can shovel snow just fine, and I have plenty of wood for winter.

Typical New York attitude.  It seems like the Yankees go to the World Series every other year or so, yet New Yorkers seem heart broken and crushed whenever the damn Yankees don't go to the Series, and are ready to fire the manager whenever they don't make it to the playoffs.  Yet another reason why they need a salary cap in baseball.  The fact that the Yanks are playing another east coast team, the Phillies, will guarantee that I will place this series in my "don't give a damn" file and will just wait for next year.  Go Royals!  (Sigh)

It would have been a more interesting series if the Dodgers made it from the NL. Seeing Torre and  Manny back in NY would have added to the interest.

This series (other than the inherent 'Who cares?' factor of baseball) comes down to a matter of do I hate Philly the city more than I hate the Yankees the team?
 
In either case, I'd sooner watch reruns of Good Eats then any of the games. 
 
Plenty of hockey on to watch right now, who needs a World Series?
