Hate to be flippant today,  but a side reason was to watch MSNBC's Keith Olbermann's head explode in self-righteous indignation.

appleciderus    Network TV   9/11/2008 10:31:33 PM
This morning as C-Span covered the Ground Zero, White House, and Pentagon ceremonies live, and Fox News covered the event with comments, I skipped to the 3 networks to see how they were covering the events.

CBS: Harry Reasoner was talking about head lice.

NBC: was fading to a commercial from what looked to be a segment on fashion.

ABC: was covering a soon to be political campaign from a train reminiscent of Harry Truman. (BHO campaign?)

Anyone want to defend the networks?

What?  There *was* any network coverage?  How can you defend nothing?

For that matter, how can you complain about nothing, other than it *was* nothing?  If you think about it, it was not slanted one way or the other, unlike the usual news :-)
