Subject: Obama Meets His New (Clinton) National Security Team
Softwar    6/19/2008 10:35:36 AM
Eric Holder, Madeleine Albright, Warren Christopher and William Perry.

Talk about the blind leading the blind!! I've written a book on these guys and their fumbles throughout the 1990s. There is not enough space here to document all the screw-ups these guys managed to pull.

Obama revealed his defense policy by appointing Eric ( Pardon Marc Rich ) Holder to his national security team. A hard-core Betway attorney somehow missed serving in the military during the Vietnam War but will aggresively sue terrorists for a lack of diversity in their Jihad.

Sheesh, first Anthony Lake, now these guys, maybe others (I don't know since I have no interest in actually paying any attention to communists like Obama):  For a guy constantly trying to portray himself as the Change Agent, he couldn't get any more Establishment Insider if he tried (and he obviously is trying)!  Just about all that's lacking at this point appears to be the announcement of induction into the Council on Foreign Relations and maybe a trip to attend the next meeting of the Bilderburger Society.  Undercover Brother has sold out to The Man!

Softwar    Obama Campaign Packed With Clinton Cohorts   6/19/2008 3:40:50 PM

Sen. Obama has picked a stellar cast of Clinton cohorts to run his national security policy. Obama met with his new security team led by such enlightened fumblers such as former Clinton Secretary of Defense William Perry, former Clinton Secretary of State Warren Christopher, former Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder and ex-Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

Madeleine Albright is best remembered for her intense diplomatic effort to get North Korea to stop developing nuclear weapons, culminated by a direct meeting with Kim Jong Il. The meeting with Kim was a special occasion because Ms. Albright danced with the dictator and gave him a basketball signed by Michael Jordon.

Ms. Albright recalled that the dictator was "charming" and commented that he was a great dancer. Of course, Ms. Albright secured nothing from Kim who continued his nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs unchecked despite the hot dance session with Madeleine.

Then there is Eric Holder. Holder is not only advising Obama on national security he is also helping to pick Obama's vice president.

Holder's best claim to Clinton fame is the fact that he championed the pardon of millionaire fugitive Marc Rich. Holder pushed the pardon past the normal channels and put it directly on the desk of Bill Clinton, who signed off, sending Rich a free "get out of jail" card.

Another great mind on Obama's staff is Warren Christopher. Christopher oversaw the destruction of State Department controls over satellite, space and military exports to China. President Clinton signed waiver after waiver for Loral, Lockheed and Hughes to send some of America's most advanced technology to the Chinese army. Finally, Clinton got tired of sending waivers to Christopher and removed the State Department oversight of space exports altogether.

After Christopher left the State Department, he joined the board of Edison Mission Energy. It was here that Christopher shined as he attempted to cover up "corruption, collusion and nepotism" buried in U.S. power plant contracts to Indonesia.

"Corruption, collusion and nepotism" is an exact quote from State Department documents detailing a flawed power plant deal between Edison and Indonesian dictator Suharto.

Christopher was aware of the corruption because his underlings at State documented the deal was filled with kick-backs. In fact, the State Department under Christopher noted the Paiton power plant run by Edison Mission Energy allegedly had millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars earmarked for Suharto's daughter.

When the deal started to fall apart, the Indonesians threatened to go public with the documented corruption.
Declassified State Deptartment documents highlight that the Paiton electric project was of extreme importance to the former member of the Clinton administration, noting clearly that ?Warren Christopher is on Edison Mission?s board of directors.?

?Paiton Energy President Ronald Landry provided the IPP?s (independent power producers) with an overview of former Secretary of State Warren Christopher?s visit to Indonesia,? states a U.S. embassy cable from 1998.

?Mr. Christopher, representing Edison International?s board, was here to launch a proposal," noted the cable.
According to Paiton CEO Landry, Christopher said that any solution reached with Indonesia must ?Be a ?Win-Win? solution and not ?embarrass? Indonesia" and it should also "Protect the USG, other government agencies and the financial community."

Despite the attempted cover-up, the Indonesians used the very same declassified U.S. government documents to prove in court the Clinton administration was aware of and sanctioned the corrupt deal. Thus the contract for Paiton was invalidated because it was illegal.

Finally, there is William Perry. Perry was a professor at Stanford working with Dr. John Lewis and Hua Di, a former Chinese missile scientist turned defector, when he was picked to run the Clinton Defense Department.

Perry brought his friends with him to his new slot at Defense. In fact, Dr. Lewis became a paid adviser to Perry and Hua Di had access at the Pentagon.

Perry also contacted an old buddy in the Chinese army, Gen. Ding Henggao. Ding too had been promoted to run a military group whose purpose was to obtain advanced technology. Perry wrote Ding, noting his "support for our bilateral military relationship.?

It was during these meetings with Ding that Perry set up plans to train the Chinese Air Force, transfer U.S. made super-computers to Chinese nuclear weapons labs and allow Chinese officers to tour U.S. bases including Edwards Air Force Base. Still, the best deal was to send secure fiber optic communications to the Chinese army.

Ding had his wife, Gen. Madam Nie, set up a front company staffed with Chinese military officers. Nie then hired Perry's old pals from Stanford, Dr. Lewis and Hua Di. Hua Di even noted that he was the "matchmaker" for the fiber optic deal.

So while Dr. Lewis was paid by the U.S. government as an advisor to Perry, he was also pulling a check from the Chinese Army and from Stanford University.

The export went through despite heated opposition from the NSA and even some of Perry's defense underlings. In the end, the GAO wrote a scathing report on the deal.

With the heat now on - Hua Di - Perry's defector friend - suddenly defected back to China and has not been heard from since.

Oh, and the secure fiber optic system? The Chinese re-sold it to Iraq where it became the "Tiger Song" air defense network. Saddam used it to shoot missiles at allied planes and it was bombed repeatedly until Iraq was over-run in 2003.

To this day, Perry will not talk about Lewis, Ding, Hua Di or Tiger Song.

So, while Obama is trying to use these old Clinton hacks to improve his national security image, it is clear that he is just loading his camp with rejects and failures.

As the Indonesian's so kindly put it "corruption, collusion, and nepotism."

I thought this was going to be a thread about Obama's recent Winnie The Pooh kerfluffle.

But this is much, much scarier.

Oh bother, Christopher Robin.  I do believe these are the wrong sort of National Security Advisors.

They may not be much of a failure but they are our failure...
Tut tut ... looks like appeasement.

Bill!  Get your hand out of the honeypot!

Don't forget Albright answering the false accusation that 60,000 innocent Iraqi children were dead because of the oil embargo with this - an acceptable cost-

Or chasing Arafat down the hall at Camp David yelling -Mr. Chairman, Mr. Chairman - when he walked out of the conference.

Christopher Warren however seems to have displayed minimum intelligence in his successful pursuit of corruption.

Blinky Warren never demonstrated an understanding of  events surrounding him when Sec of State.
