There is a war far more violent than Iraq right on our southern boarder. It's being fought in Mexico. It's killing more people faster than violence in the GWOT. It causes direct casualties to U.S. Citizens. It threatens you families. Our entire way of life depends on the outcome of this conflict. I'm talking about the forgotten war on drugs.

Now, here are the questions I have. Given the consequences of failure and the scope of the conflict. Shouldn't this be a primary concern of the Department of Defense?

If you agree that it is the DoD responsibility. How do you think we should go about fighting this war? If you don't think it's the DoD's responsibility, then why? What other way would you suggest to solve it?
