Larry Summers got himself axed because he failed to acknowledge that women and men are interchangeable equivalents. Now it's okay that women are more equal than men. Harvard brains must've discovered something new about us or something. Nah, comments from a country which is slowly digging itself deeper and deeper into dhimmitude/political correctness.

women only swimming/gym/whatever hours are ok as many women  do not like when there are men around... BUT if we are dealing with religion/race X only-hours, then we got a problem. In Finland they begun (in January) to have "immigrants only" [some for men, and some for women] hours at certain southern towns´swimming pools.. which actually means non-white hours even though they insist that racial segregation is not enforced.. which means that they have those hours when the schedules state that certain hours are for immigrant women/men, but if a person of right gender comes, he will be allowed in even though if (s)he is not immigrant... before I learned that, I wondered whether they are checking passports or what to find out who is immigrant and who is not.. or would they just deny the access when a white person comes. In any case, in country like Finland, it is safe to assume that 99+ % of the natives won´t try to get in during those hours.. unless they accidentally just do not notice the practise.

Six Islamist women, yes just six, are making America's most prestigious university bend over backwards to adapt to their demands . Ironically enough, what they want is already observed for the entire student body at fundamentalist Christian universities like Bob Jones or Tennessee Temple. All students at Bob Jones or Tennessee Temple are strongly encouraged to exercise. The gyms are restricted to either all male or all female hours. Women's exercise clothes are full sweatsuits and men are not allowed in sight if they are running on the track or around the campus.

So, if the Islamist women want a "modest" social environment, they can always go to places like Bob Jones or Tennessee Temple. Alternatively, they can form their own universities, with their own social rules, just like the Christian fundamentalists did generations ago. It's not like they lack the money to do so.

As an aside, I have met quite a few graduates of the two  fundamentalist universities I mentioned. I did not attend either of them, but I have found their alumni to be  rigorously taught by solidly competent faculty. This was true whether they were musicians, theologians or computer programmers.
