Subject: Canada Purchasing 15 - CH-47F Chinooks

On August 10th Defence Minister Peter McKay announced that the government had approved the purchase of 15 CH-47F Chinook helicopters. Boeing was awarded $1.2-billion CDN. contract for the aircraft and a further $2.2-billion CDN. contract to supply in-service support and maintenance.
