the SLAM-ER derivative still finds favor, as do some of the block upgrades. Tomahawks are way expensive, but have that range envelope to exploit. As the argument that the US is not fully following suit with countries who now have supersonic ASMs, the real question would arise that, how many of those navies have effective enough countermeasures to always bring down a Harpoon? When there is sufficient evidence that the AGM-84 can no longer penetrate current CIWS and ECM, then a replacement will be funded. Perhaps an ASM version of JASSM, JSOW, or ACM..
