That's not true that there has never been a Chinese reactor accident.aboard their nuclear submarines.

There have been 'several' of these incidents.  EVERY nation operating nuclear subs has had reactor accidents. Every nation.

Thats true,
The French and British even like having them together
Russians make a habit of them. US have them periodically.
China, well, i suppose if it isn't reported in official news reports it never happened.
Hell, even the Indians have managed to have issues and they've yet to field their first one!

"The theme for this event was that in 42 years of operation no Chinese nuclear sub has ever suffered a nuclear reactor accident."

The Xia is known to have chronic radiation leaks, and US military intelligence holds that a second vessel in the class was built, but was lost in an accident with all hands during sea trials (not necessarily because of a reactor accident, but it's very high on the list of culprits); https://www.usnwc.edu/getattachment/Research---Gaming/China-Maritime-Studies-Institute/Published-Articles/Erickson-Goldstein_China-s-Future-Nuclear-Submarine-Force_NWCR_2007-01.pdf
