Subject: Russian Deployment in Limited Warfare
willkill4rice    5/23/2009 6:02:22 PM
How would they be deployed in limited warfare, say against an East Asian power that has trade in the atlantic, pacific and indian ocean? Lets say preventing outgoing trade, destroying ports, not hitting incoming neutral shipping.

Assuming 1/2 or 1/3 of surface/subsurface forces would be kept to protect Russian shipping, what would the rest be doing and where, and would they be limited to the bigger ships, ie, would the Kirovs/Slavas/Cruisers and bigger ships be on offensive or defensive? Lets say v PLAN for arguments sake.
