Targetted Assassinations? Are you mad? That would be absolutely the WORST thing for the situation. As an Australian, I can think of few things worse than to condone such acts. They would simply be as justified using the same tactics against us. When dealing with Indonesia, there are a few important things to remember:

1) They are a sovereign state with rights and limitations like all states
2) They are incredibly diverse along lines of lingusitics, history, politics, religion, culture and ethnicity
3) I would strongly argue that The vast majority of Australians (government included) have little to no idea of Indonesia really is and is like (I include myself in this category)
4) Of course Terrorism is a problem, but remember it is more thier problem than it is ours. Indonesia must and must be allowed to solve it/fight it itself.
5) Knee-Jerk responses like 'Send in the Pigs (F111s) are pointless because they wouldn't work and they would cause so many more problems that it would only worsen the overall situation.
6) The F111s are hardly a deterrent. In fact, as a strategic deterrent, they have be redundant for decades. No amount of 'evidence' from Carlo Kopp will prove otherwise.
7) Australia is absolutely NOT like Israel. They are poles apart. Israeli thinking and/or tactics would be disastrous for Australia and is not compatible anyway.

So, targetted assassinations may appeal to you strategic sense in Tom Clancy land, but here in the real world, they are nither wise nor neccessary.
