JF-17 'Thunder' aircraft, being produced jointly by China and Pakistan, would be inducted into PAF by December 2006. PAF has announced that it will include 150 of these medium technology planes which replace Mirage 3/5, F-7, and A-5. PAF also looking for high-tech 4G fighter aircraft. Swedish JS39 Gripen, French Raffle and China's F-10 are leading contenders. There are rumor that America has shown its indications to give more F-16 jets after elections.
