Subject: Why Hindus of India persist in being most stupid-I
musloko-maro    4/9/2008 9:15:42 PM
Let me give you the background of Urdu language.
Urdu language was born in India, during Mogul time. The word Urdu in Turkish language means " battle field " it was designed for secret language for military use, from mix of all Indian languages, including Sanskrit, Hindi, Persian, Arabic, and some other Indian languages.
Later, it was popular among most Indian communities, as it was easy to communicate, because it was mixture of our Indian languages.
Urdu is NOT an imported language. Many people in Punjab and other parts of India write and read Urdu like mother tongue. Though it is considered language of Muslims, because Majority of Muslims use this language.
Similarly, many Hindus speak and write in this language, and many Muslims speak fluent Hindi language.
We all Hindus do not speak or write Sanskrit, either, which is the language of our Vedas.
By using science of west, we can not be charged with adapting western culture.

"I am not about to give up my right on Urdu language. Languages are not our enemy. I did not like the British occupation of India but I do not hate English. I want to translate Vedas and Upanishads in all languages including Urdu, English, French etc.
Dr. Ambekar, Savarkar ji, et el. please think with a cool mind. Pick your enemies carefully; please don't fight at every corner of every street. We want to win this, not loose it. Languages are not the enemies. Urdu is not the language of Arabs, it is not Persian, it is our language."

Everybody talks in such 'Secularism' terms and thus destroys our own originality. May I say you are wrong to say that Urdu is an Indian language, it has promoted by Congress Governments to appease Muslims and see where the nation has landed. So keep up with Hindi language and they too will understand Hindi and that way also you will be promoting this language.

I am a great supporter of Hindi but Hindi is not the only language of India. It is our National Language and this is also our main language that we would like every one to be able to communicate with.
But India has other languages, like Bengali, Marathi etc. Approximately 40,000 words are common in all Indian Languages, Jal (water), Phal (fruits) are common in all our languages.
Likewise Urdu is an Indian language; it was born Lucknow and flourished in Delhi, Agra and Hyderabad. Urdu has words from Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Sanskrit etc. Its grammar is very similar to Hindi.
I think what you are trying to say is that we should encourage Hindi and communicate in Hindi and use Hindi words only when communicating in Hindi. But we should not give wrong information about Urdu. Urdu is our language as much as other languages in India.
Hindi is India's National Language and every Indian should try to promote Hindi. More importantly I think, people who live in India, should work to promote the language in their homes. The new generation in India is not using Hindi as much as they should.

Hindi was not a rich language when India became independent and it took many years to get the respect and it took the hard work by great people like Dr. Raghuvir to create millions of words in Hindi Language.
In 1950, Hindi language had less than 50, 000 words while all other Indian languages, Bengali, Guajarati etc. had 100,000 words. In 1850, English had only 50,000 words. Today, English has 20 million words. Today Hindi is very rich language, thanks to Dr. Raghuvir and his son Dr. Lokesh Chandra. While English became rich by borrowing words from all over the World, Hindi became rich because of the infinite resources from Sanskrit. Sanskrit is the only language I know which has unlimited vocabulary. Amongst the Indian languages 40, 000 words are common and most of them have been derived from Sanskrit.
In spite of my great love for Hindi, I love all other Indian languages. This makes me feel rich. Can we discard Sanskrit for that matter? Our entire literature is in Sanskrit. Loving Hindi does not mean we should hate or discard other languages. Urdu is also our language. Why do we get so overwhelmed with Pakistan.

Urdu is Indian only in the geographical sense. As the language of the "horde", of the Muslim armies of occupation, it is not the language of India but rather the language of the subjugation of India. That's why it is celebrated by all the enemies of Hindu India."
I am not surprised about what you have written , but if you think with a cool mind and tell me why we should reject a language or any language for that matter.
I have been a great supporter of Hindi Language. When I was 12, I participated in the Hindi Raksha Andolan which my great father launched in Chandigarh Punjab, on behalf of Arya Samaj, against the congress (anti-Hindi) Government of Pratap Singh Kairon and was arrested many times in Chandigarh while protecting Hindi.
My Uncle, Dr. Raghuvir (former President of Bhartiya Jan Sangh and M.P.) has created / translated more than a million words in Hindi. So no one loves Hindi more than me.
As my Uncle told us, try to speak pure Hindi and don't use urdu and English words while speaking in Hindi, but of course, enjoy the Urdu Shairi, it is sweet. Isn't it?
IF SOME OF US WOULD LIKE TO BE SUBSERVIENT TO ISLAM AND ITS TRADITIONS NO ONE CAN CHANGE SUCH A MIND SET. WE HAVE, AS AN INDIAN, A SLAVISH MENTALITY, IT CAN NOT BE WIPED UP UNTIL DEATH.
