Wondering to myself, why would China be interested in practicing counter insurgency exercises with India?

Then the thought occurred: if China invades India, besides main line Indian army units fighting a conventional defense, the Indian army would also employ insurgency and guerilla warfare tactics, as any defender would, and the PLA wants to get a feel for what the Indian army's guerilla tactics would be in case of a "taking back of lost territories".
