| Sorry, nanotech relies very much on carbon nanotubes, and other mondo-difficult to manufacture materials. We're basically talking about a molecular motor here, right? I'm not an inorganic guy, but from what friends in industry say this is really vaporware, stuff that's projected to be developed in some year, but not necessarily going to be. If what China publishes out of academia is any indication of what they're total capability is in this field it'll be quite a few years before this becomes something to worry about.
Hell, they have trouble making nanofibers of uniform length on a regular basis(as does everyone). Do you really think that with such a quality control problem that someone is going to be able to weaponize a molecular motor, much less build one?
It isn't impossible, but I wouldn't get even faintly nervous yet. |
