Subject: Almost all enemies' of U.S. 'are China's friends
Zhang Fei    12/7/2007 2:23:38 PM
From East Asia Intel:

An official of the Chinese government last week confirmed that Beijing is supporting U.S. enemies around the world.

Yuan Peng, director of the Institute of American Studies, part of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, said that "in the world, almost all enemies of the United States are China's friends."

The rare admission confirms the view of some critics who say China's arms sales to rogue states like Iran, Syria and North Korea are based on a deliberate strategy of indirectly confronting the United States.

Peng's institute, the CICIR, is an entity of the Ministry of State Security, China's main intelligence service. His remarks were included in a state-run media report.

Peng said long-term strategic stability between the U.S. and China "still remain[s] doubtful."

And now a word from those friendly folks who brought you the Sudan, Iran and "still crazy after all these years" Kim Jun Il and his amazing atomic bomb....

This is something that most of us knew just watching the PRC arms sales.  I never expected the Chinese to be foolish enough to openly admit that they are sponsors of the evil Axis.

Still, the Panda-Huggers will shrug this off by claiming that Peng was not talking for offiicial Beijing or some such other nonsense.  They want us all to go back to sleep and rest assured that the PRC is our friend.

During the Cold War (oh for the good old days ;) ) it was the Soviet Politburo's open objective to have what they called "peaceful co-existence". This, of course meant international socialism under Soviet hegemony. The left in the West naturally refused to believe this even though the Politburo were quite open about it. Fortunately the conservative side of politics and even big business took the Soviet threat as being real.

Now the PRC is showing its hand more openly every day but unfortunately both sides of politics at the upper levels, not to mention the MNCs, are refusing to acknowledge the situation.

The longer our leaders are ruled by wishful thinking and continue to turn a blind eye the harder it will be for us to defeat an enemy that seems to be intent on confrontation. The PRC will only act when it believes it will win ( one of Sun Tzu's classic pieces of advice). We cannot afford to allow that to happen. We need to call them out sometime soon and let them know we will not stand for their shenanigans any longer.

Cheers.
