I agree with all you said about France... but I am afraid you have slightly digressed. ALWAYS the same when I discuss with Americans (er... what will I say to annoy him? Oh yes, WWII and Greenpeace! Like they said on TV. Good. ALWAYS the same, I tell you!)----SIGH------ I have proved more than once that there is nothing I hate more than jingoism and nationalism. So do not try that on me (what you have done is a rhetorical trick which you name "red herring", if I remember well).
You apparently had nothing to reply to my last message. Apart from the fact that "Nixon made a mistake" (I quote). ARE YOU JOKING OR WHAT? The Nixon/Kissinger duo was extremely bright and clever, they had a profound understanding of the workings of geopolitics and international relations. They were a very good team. Indeed, after them, American foreign policy has become incredibly awkward and brutal (one really has the impression that Joe Sixpack is at the controls!). You do not realize how many countries you have alienated. I challenge you to find a better foreign policy team.
And I repeat, I cannot stand the US incredibly hypocritical stance towards China. I maintain that if it were your ally, you would never criticize China, because you have always supported allied bastards. And I can see you have never dared to deny that. Obvious even to you, hey?
